　　常用the的情況：

　　特指、重現(xiàn)用定冠；獨一無二把冠添。

　　黨、政、機關(guān)開會議，組織農(nóng)業(yè)帽在前。

　　江山河海和峽灣；沙島有帽較安全。

　　階級國家分朝代；廠礦造船要帶銜。

　　節(jié)目奏樂衣冠嚴，習慣隨俗記心間。

　　注：冠、帽、銜之類均指定冠詞。

　　定冠詞的習慣用法：

①某家人或某夫婦一般用the+復數(shù)。如：the Smiths

②表示整個民族或族人一般加the。如 the Chinese/English

③少數(shù)山脈群島也不用the。如Mount Tai。如名詞中有of短語則一般有the。如：the Mountain of seven sighs。

④中國的湖泊一般加 the。如：the West Lake。

　　R>⑤the+adj表示類別。如：the rich。

⑥年代，年齡的約數(shù)前常用the。如：in the 1950s，in his teens。

⑦表計量單位用the含有“每”、“每一”

　　It sells at two dollars the pound。

　　It sells 16 dollars to the pound。

　　John is paid by the hour。

⑧下列結(jié)構(gòu)中的冠詞。

-have+the+抽象名詞+to do sth = be so +adj+ as to do sth

　　如：He has the politeness/kindness to say hello to me。

=He is so polite/kind as to say hello to me。

　　不用冠詞的場合

　　抽象、物質(zhì)、專有名，代詞基數(shù)用作限定；

　　泛指節(jié)假季節(jié)星期幾，球棋、呼語與餐名；

　　刊物、公告與標題，普通名詞并列緊相鄰；

　　唯一職位，學科與語種，洲、國、省、市、縣街路名。

　　上述口訣用心牢記，并結(jié)合下列說明予以理解

①抽象、物質(zhì)名詞和專有名詞一般無冠詞，但物質(zhì)名詞、抽象名詞具體化，或?qū)Ｓ忻~泛指時，常用不定冠詞，例：

　　a Mr Wang/a climb/a swim。

　　for a while/in a hurry/a fire Here is a life of struggle。

　　Physics is a science. There was a heavy rain last night。等抽象名詞受of短語修飾或上下文已予限定，用the。

　　如：the science of speech sounds 語音學

　　the music of the film， do me the favor to do sth。

②代數(shù)詞、基數(shù)詞作前置定詞，不用冠詞。

③泛指的節(jié)假日、季節(jié)、星期前不用冠詞。但是季節(jié)名詞表特定時間或受of知識修飾時用the。如：in the winter of 1948。

　　有時泛指時間用a+adj+名詞。如：have a hot summer。

④餐名前一般無冠詞。但餐名受adj修飾時常常有a(an)。特指時用the。

　　如：have a good supper. The breakfast was well cooked。

　　dinner表“宴會”時，是可數(shù)名詞，有各種冠詞修飾give a dinner to them。

⑤普通名詞并列時不用冠詞

　　soul and heart/husband and wife/day after day/arm in arm/hand in hand。

⑥語種前不用冠詞。但the English結(jié)構(gòu)用the。

　　What‘s the English for labour。

　　The English of shakespear。

　　作限定時用the。

⑦廣場、公園、學校、建筑物等專有名詞，由“專有名詞+普通名詞”構(gòu)成時不用冠詞。但the University of Beijing結(jié)構(gòu)和the Beijing station中用the
